More information on the Membership page.

The Mendocino Coast CWC branch celebrates its fifth year with seventy-three members. We have many reasons to renew our memberships, including these activities in the past twelve months:
Our fourth anthology, this with a Mendocino theme, closes submissions at the end of August. The exchange of art and writing occurred last month for Ekphrasis V, a collaboration with the Artists Co-op of Mendocino. “Art describing art” has ten writers handing over a page of prose or poetry to individual artists who will respond with a piece of art, and ten writers receiving art to inspire a single page, all to go on exhibit at the Co-op Gallery in October. Another opportunity to write is during Smatch-Up with the blind pairing of twenty writers, ten who write a single page, and ten who finish the story with a single page. The meeting for readings reveals the partnerships and great stories.
In the past year we’ve had a publishing strategies panel, a lecture on the anatomy of a query letter to hook an agent by Emily Lloyd-Jones, and a workshop with Karen Green on “Dusting out the Corners”; all well worth our time.
Members have space for their biography on the website, WritersMendocinoCoast.org, and the opportunity to announce their publication and award credits.

RENEWALS NOT RECEIVED BY 8/31 WILL BE DROPPED FROM THE ROLLS AND WILL REQUIRE NEW MEMBERSHIP, $65
