AUDE ALIQUID DIGNUM
"Dare Something Worthy"
Kevin talks about his work as a column writer for the San Francisco Chronicle, the commitment involved and the steps by which he got there. Part biography, part challenge, he talks about the choices he made to be a better writer.

WORKSHOP:
THE SELF-GUIDED
GUIDE TO THE SELF

Kevin will talk about the craft of writing from the perspective of purpose and structure. The writing process begins with a commitment to the creative self. As Kevin explains, everyone has an autobiography, but not everyone has a memoir. Everyone has instructions, but not everyone has a poem.
The most important part of the creative process is inspiration, and Kevin talks about the universe works, at least through his perspective.

Bring a pen. The expectation is that the workshop will be interactive, and students will be encouraged to respond to a series of prompts to embrace their higher self.

There will be refreshments and a 15-20 minute break

Saturday, March 2nd 6:30 p.m

WMC member Thayer Walker's son and daughter-in-law will have a reading from their new book, The Wall of Birds.

Published by Harper Collins, it is written and illustrated by Jane Kim and Thayer Walker. Not your typical bird book, it is an evolutionary tale of 243 bird families, as well as an artistic quest.
It features bird paintings representing every bird family that ever existed, life size, and located in their home territory, on a 2,500 sq. ft. canvas at the Cornell University's Ornithology Lab in Ithica, NY.
