One of our members, Charlie Furey, suggested this event. Authors and authors-to-be can present questions about writing or publishing. The event will be facilited by the Mixed Pickles writing group: Ginny Rorby, Katherine Heimann Brown, Norma Watkins, and Jill Myers--all accomplished writers.
Put on your thinking cap. If you have a question about writing or publishing fiction, non-fiction or poetry, send it to WritersMendocinoCoast@GMail.Com by July 17th. These questions will be covered first and, if there is time, others will be taken from a list generated during the discussion.

Members Open Mic

Beginning with the July 18th meeting, each month we will set aside time for two members to read for 3-5 minutes (about two double-spaced pages). If you want to participate, put your name on a slip in the basket. A name will be drawn at the start of the evening and another at the end.

For Members - WRITERS GROUP CLEARING HOUSE

     The California Writers Club fosters professionalism in writing and promotes networking of writers with the writing community. All genres and writing styles are supported. In order to provide an environment where members can obtain critique of their efforts, a clearing house has been established.
     Please send a description of your writing experience and genre, the frequency of meeting you would like, and other information you consider pertinent. We will connect you with other members.

The Writers of the Mendocino Coast meet in the Mendocino Hotel at 6 pm on the 3rd Wednesday of every month. We host speakers, workshops, open mics and other yet to be discovered events and activities.
