Member Tony Camarda published his book, Standing In Gorda, this year.
          Page 2 includes these lines:
"You will learn plenty about your narrator before this story is finished, there's no way of getting around that.
But this story will not be about ME.
   It will be about hitchhiking.
It will be about the Pacific Coast Highway.
It will be about being objective, and alert, and succeeding in the task of writing it all down.
It will be about stepping back and taking the time to observe the spirit of this country.
   These are my intentions."

NEXT EVENT

October 17th   6:00 p.m.
Mendocino Hotel - Garden Room

The Writers of the Mendocino Coast asked eight writers to craft one page of prose or poetry, fiction or nonfiction, in response to a piece of art provided by eight artists associated with the Artists' Coop of Mendocino.

Another set of eight writers provided one page to prompt a piece of art by eight artists representing the Coop.

On October 17th, the Writers of the Mendocino Coast will host each of the sixteen writers in a reading of their work while a photo of the art is projected onto a screen.

The artists are invited to attend and comment on their work
.

During October

The Ekphrasis Project
One medium of art relates to another medium by defining and describing its essence and form.

The pages crafted by the writers will be exhibited next to the sixteen pieces of art in the gallery at the
Artists' Coop of Mendocino

45270 Main St., Mendocino 937-2217
