Hello, and welcome to opportunities to publish your writing, whether or not you live on the Mendocino Coast.

SEND YOUR WRITING TO SENIOR CENTER GAZETTE
Hi Everyone, I'm starting to put together the Oct/Dec Senior Center Gazette,

and I have very little in the way of contributions.  I'm very inclusive and would love to get some new material from you all and your friends.
Thanks in advance, Rick

MENDOCINO COAST WRITERS CONFERENCE  2015 PICTURES !

SEPTEMBER 17th  MENDOCINO HOTEL  6:00 p.m.

MOLLY DWYER "The Plot Thickens"
There is no such thing as a perfect plot. On the other hand, good fiction doesn't just happen, it’s designed. We’ll look at how to develop plot organically, not by formula, but by instinct and discovery. We’ll talk about what plot is and what it is not, what makes it work. We’ll talk about how to develop a powerful storyline by attending to synchronicity and unconscious clues. This exploration is not about laying out a plotline and following it, it’s about how to walk into the wilderness of an idea and find your way through to meaningful and unpredictable resolution.
Molly Dwyer’s debut novel, Requiem for the Author of Frankenstein, was nominated for the 2009 Northern California Book Award in Fiction and won the Independent Publishers Book of the Year Award and an Indie Book Award for Historical Fiction. In 2010, Molly was honored for “Writing Women Back into History” by the National Women’s Political Caucus of Mendocino County. She’s the Founding President of the Writers of the Mendocino Coast, a branch of California Writers Club, and works as an editor, writing coach, and writing group facilitator. Molly teaches Critical Thinking at Mendocino College and is a second semester MFA student in Goddard College’s Port Townsend program.

Member Catherine Marshall is pleased to announce the publication of her memoir, The Easter Moose: One Family's Journey Adopting through Foster Care.
She wrote this book as a way to make sense of her experience as a foster parent and to tell the story that often doesn't get told...one of foster parents doing their best to make a difference, despite the odds and many daunting challenges.
The book is available at bookshops and online booksellers. The e-pub version will be available soon.
